Tibetan Black Schist carving of Dharmapala Vajrapani  16th /17th.   Carved in black schist with multiple layers of polychrome.  One of the earliest Dharma pala figures in Buddhist texts.   Tibetan carving from the 16th or 17th century.  Upper left edge of Mandorla has small section of losses.   Size 3 1/2" wide, 4 7/8" tall ,  depth 1 5/8".
