Ferdinand Liebermann ( Germany 1883- 1941)  Bronze of boy seated on a cassowary. Liebermann worked in  the early founding years  of the Rosenthal porcelain studio, later as a designer for fountains and larger sculptures.   Wood and stone Base, size15.75" tall base 4.5" by 4.5" Ferdinand Lieberman was prolific in the Art Nouveau and Art Deco periods. This Cassowary bird a fine example of the exotic nature these wonderful fantasies of the period.
