Sculpture of reclining woman by Berta Margoulies (1907-1996). High style from mid-twentieth -century modernism. Cast in concrete in organic material use of medium and expressionist handling of the volumes of the female form at hand. Wonderful curved and rounded full figure in a dress with the period hairstyle. The size of the solid wooden base is 26" wide and 10.5" deep, 2.5" thick. The sculpture is 26.5" long, 10" wide and 12" tall.
